Origins
Caeli Énergie's journey began in India, where the concept of an energy-efficient air conditioner without heat emission was conceived.
During a mission for the CEA, Rémi Pérony discovered the Indian philosophy of "jugaad," which emphasizes frugality and efficiency.

Inspired, he envisioned applying this principle to thermal comfort. Upon returning to Grenoble in 2020, amid the pandemic, he collaborated with Stéphane Lips on a project at INP to explore adiabatic cooling and develop an alternative to traditional air conditioning. Samuel Bauchet soon joined them, leading to the founding of Caeli Énergie.
Motivated by impactful entrepreneurship, the trio developed a promising prototype.
Technological validation
filed its first patent with the CNRS for the structure of its evapo-exchanger, marking a crucial development milestone.
Technical tests quickly proved conclusive, demonstrating the innovation's viability and efficiency. The small team focused on designing initial systems and refining their technology.
First fundraising round
Attracted by their solution, the first investors join the young startup.
Incubated by SATT Linksium, the company completed its first funding round of €2.1 million, dedicated to prototype development.
Acceleration
Caeli Énergie then secured an additional €10 million from BPI, Asterion Ventures, Starquest, and Rise PropTech.
An increasing number of institutions, including nurseries, nursing homes, schools, and social housing providers, began seeking Caeli's thermal comfort installations.
Mass Production
The company expanded its production capacity by introducing a new manufacturing line.
In the summer, Caeli Énergie officially launched the CAELI ONE, marking a significant step in their mission to revolutionize cooling solutions.
